COVID-19 Return to Play Restrictions
In an effort to keep all of our players, coaches, volunteers, and families safe, SHLV is incorporating a return-to-play plan that will have the below mandatory restrictions until further notice.
The below restrictions are being put in place in collaboration with ASHA, and in meeting local regulations, state regulations, and our Rink’s regulations. These restrictions are subject to change at any time.
Please contact SHLV if there are reasons why any of the above are of concern to you. At this time, the above requirements will be strictly followed by SHLV and participants who are unable/unwilling to comply will be unable to participate in our program until further notice.
-
We will be limiting the number of people on the ice. Players and coaches will either be assigned or need to sign-up for specific practice dates (and those dates will be less often than previous seasons). It is imperative that all participants show-up
-
Players must arrive promptly on-time (time TBA, but will be in advance of our scheduled ice slot to allow time to get dressed) and will be asked to stay through the duration of the practice. Late arrivals to practice will not be permitted inside the rink
-
In the case of an emergency or need to use the bathroom, SHLV staff will (of course) accommodate the player and call the parent/guardian to come inside the rink.
-
Anyone entering the rink will be screened by a volunteer to ask about how they are feeling, asked about any out-of-state travel, and about any known COVID cases in their contacts.
-
Players and parents must wear a mask at all times when inside the rink. Players may remove their mask immediately before getting on the ice and must replace immediately after getting off the ice.
-
Coaches will be required to wear a mask at all times, including while coaching on the ice.
-
Locker rooms will require 6’ spacing at all times. The only exception is parent or guardian with their player only. Parents/guardians will not be permitted to help other players.
-
Players must arrive with their own water bottle pre-filled with water and with their name written on it. Water will not be provided by SHLV and cannot be filled-up at the rink.
-
Parents/guardians must immediately leave the building after helping their player get dressed and on the ice.
-
Parents/guardians must stay on premises during the full duration of the practice/event and will be called/texted if their player needs assistance.
-
Parents/guardians will be permitted back into the rink when their player is ready to get undressed to meet them in the locker room.
Potential Additional Restrictions
Also, depending on the judgement of the SHLV Board and in accordance with ASHA, local regulations, state regulations, and our Rink’s regulations as a private business, SHLV may or may not need to implement the below restrictions as well. These additional restrictions
may or may not be in place to start the season and may or may not be added throughout the season.
Please check any restrictions that you would be comfortable enough to continue participating in SHLV. You do not need to check all boxes below to continue:
-
Locker rooms will be off-limits. Players and coaches will be required to either arrive dressed or dress in the parking lot before entering the rink.
-
Anyone entering the rink will have their temperature taken with a non-contact thermometer -
Names of anyone entering the rink will be recorded. If contact tracing information is requested by local authorities, SHLV will comply with local authorities by providing the information we have recorded. -
I understand the COVID-19 return-to-play rules that will be in place by SHLV and agree to follow all as well as the understanding that these restrictions may change as the season progresses.
